Kandinsky inspired Printing
This session was all about exploring circles!
We took inspiration from the artist Wassily Kandinski's circle paintings and we created our own circle print creations by using different containers to print circles of different sizes on colourful card backgrounds.
Children were encouraged to notice the different sizes of the circles and the names of the different colours they were using.
Spring Snow Drop Collage
During this session the children layered a background collage with torn magazine pages and tissue paper and they then cut out stems for their snowdrops from green card and added white card petals. With this session each child really expressed their individuality and each snow drop collage turned out completely different!
Bird multimedia collage
During this session we explored the different parts of a bird using the Montessori bird puzzles. We introduced the correct names for the parts of a bird and the children used cut outs of card to create their own bird collage - They used a variety of art materials to decorate each individual part of the bird and they added them together on the page to create a complete bird artwork.
