Creativity Classes

We collaborate with Creative Grounds Cafe for a story time and craft session every Monday during term time. We start the session by reading a book and noticing different aspects in the story, thereafter we create a craft relating to the book we have read - with this session we also have some home made playdough for the toddlers and pre schoolers to play with while they are at the session.

Our Friday creativity class is an arts and crafts club where we explore a different craft or artistic technique each week. This class focusses on creativity and has an educational element too where we focus on different skills through creativity such as fine motor skills refinement, promoting concentration and freedom of expression and also promoting hand eye coordination.

Montessori Classes in our own venues

Our Montessori classes are a relaxed space to come spend time playing and learning alongside your child in a thoughtfully prepared play space. We focus on connection, collaboration and community.

We encourage the children to jump right into exploring the environment and activities.

The sessions are self led although our trained Montessori Teacher is there to guide and collaborate with you and your child if needed. The play space is set up to provide the children with opportunity for making their own choices, supporting their independence and engaging in interesting educational activities all which support fine motor skills refinement, hand eye coordination and concentration.

When you and your child arrive you can get right into free play - the children can keep on their own shoes or be barefoot or wear socks with grips. This is to prevent slips within the play space.

We offer a free flow space so the children can access the outdoor area in all weathers. It is a good idea to bring a change of clothes for your child as there is often water play/ messy play / arts & crafts activities.

There is a snack table available where the children can prepare their own snack independently with support at any time during the session ( snack is free flow so the children can access the independent snack table throughout the whole session).

Circle time is held occasionally and this is where we explore familiar songs or a focus on particular group learning activities/ Birthday celebrations/ Sharing family events.

We are always able to adjust our sessions based on the group of children in the session.

Snack

Examples of snacks:
